Because that experience makes us feel completely alive.
Where every sense is heightened,
every emotion is magnified,
our everyday reality is shattered
and we are flying into the heavens.
It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon.
But that doesn't diminish its value.
Because we are left with memories
that we treasure for the rest of our lives.
i think that is so, right.
Love feels no burden,
thinks nothing of trouble,
attempts what is above its strength,
pleads no excuse of impossibility...
It is therefore able to undertake all things,
and it completes many things,
and warrants them to take effect,
where he who does not love would faint and lie down.
Love is watchful and sleeping, slumbereth not.
Though weary, it is not tired;
though pressed, it is not straitened;
though alarmed, it is not confounded...
i think both of this are so true. actually, i need to be by myself now, i think.
*i came back*
because i wanted to say something that meant a lot to me once. it was, an important part of my life that this quote is from. when you just think you are falling in love with someone, and them something stops you, whatever it is, distance, time, age, religion.
the best thing that can end love, is death.
this just strikes me as so true, so undeniably, overtly true. i mean, if you truely love someone, you will have a place for them always in your heart, if you brak up, by whatever terms or means, there will always be a bit of you that remebers them and wishes it was how it used to be. the only way this will never happen is if you die together, which won't happen unless there is a terrible attck or accident. one of you will die first, through illness or old age. then you will be old, lonely and bitter that you didn't do things with your life.
i have to go now.
