It's called 'The little prince', and it's about this man who crashes in the desert and meets this little prince, from a faraway asteriod.

He spends all his life looking after this tiny asteriod where he lives, preventing big trees from tearing it apart, clearing out three tiny volcanos that are there, and watching the sun rise and fall. (this happens a lot since it's such a small asteriod) and looking after a beautiful flower, who he talks to. The flower tells him she is the most beautiful flower ever, and he must look after her properly. So he looks after her, neglects all the other things on his asteriod. One day, he has to leave (I can't remember why)

When he comes to earth, he finds that a million beautiful flowers are growing here, and his flower, that he cared for so much, lied to him.

Its the most beautiful story I have ever read, and it's also very sad. There is the saddest picture at the end, of a desert, empty, after the prince has *disappeared* in his saddest at the beautiful thing in his life, that he was in love with, lied to him.

I just think you should read it, it taught me a lot about things not being what they seem. It's a very beautiful and moving story.
